Sprinting into the digital arena

We partnered with Abrogans to create edouardschmitz.ch – a sleek online presence for showjumping sensation Edouard Schmitz.

One of the perks of being a creative agency is that sometimes when we get a new client, they open up whole new worlds for us. This is certainly the case with Abrogans, a communications agency founded by Swiss PR expert Michael Schiendorfer to support athletes. We were delighted to leap right in and create a sleek new digital presence for showjumping breakout star Edouard Schmitz.

A star on the rise

The Geneva-based showjumper has an impressive track record for his young age. In 2022, he won the Longines International Grand Prix of Ireland and made it into the world's top 30. He's the new global brand ambassador for the traditional Swiss watchmaker Longines and is also sponsored by Tommy Hilfiger. The one thing he didn't have? An online presence to showcase his talent. This is where we came in.

Designing an online stage

Working closely with Abrogans, we created edouardschmitz.ch - a simple and elegant website featuring Edouard Schmitz's success story, the latest news about his games, an event calendar and a deck of virtual cards that briefly explain the sport of show jumping.

 

Drupal 10: elevating the experience

The trilingual site is also the first we've built with Drupal 10, and let us tell you - it was in a different league. It's faster, more secure and includes a new user interface that makes it easier for us and our clients to create and manage content. If you were inclined to use puns, you could say it's a huge jump from Drupal 9. But we're not, of course.
